Review – IPEVO X1-N6 Internet Conference Station

Professional audio and video conferencing products have always been out of reach for small businesses but, with limited staff and resources, they have the most to gain by developing an effective conferencing system.  The technology is well within reach given the availability of high bandwidth internet connections and simple communication software such as Skype.

Be prepared for disaster before disaster strikes

Frustrated UserA comprehensive backup solution is the cornerstone of any small business computing infrastructure and it often isn’t considered until it is too late.  It doesn’t matter if your company is big or small to imagine the damage it would cause to lose important files or access to your email across desktops or servers.  Unfortunately the old “best practices” of nightly backups no longer meet the needs of today’s information driven businesses and even customers with a simple backup routine may need some fine tuning.  Ask yourself the following questions:

  • How often are my critical systems backed up?
  • How much will it cost to reconstruct a day or more of lost work?
  • When is the last time I verified my backup operations?
  • How quickly can I recover from a hardware failure?
  • Is there a copy of my critical files at another location?

Please call L2 Communications at 800-960-0617 if you don’t know the answer to any of these questions and we’d be happy to work with you to develop a comprehensive backup solution for your business.  We are experienced with local and remote backups to a variety of reliable mediums and can work out a solution to meet any budget.

A Hidden Danger?

How much abandoned cabling is hidden in your ceiling?

bad-cablingAny cabling that is unlabeled or unterminated is considered abandoned and poses a significant safety hazard in the event of a fire.  In many cases hundreds of pounds of cable are simply resting on your ceiling tiles and may impede exit during an emergency or emit toxic fumes when burning.  The National Electric Code now requires all exposed portions of unused cabling to be removed.  More information is available at facilitiesnet.com.

Please call L2 Communications at 800-960-0617 and we’d be happy to review your facility, remove any abandoned cabling and properly secure the production wiring.
